Vice President JD Vance touted the administration's immigration enforcement record in a new video posted by the White House Rapid Response account, declaring that the border was closed on day one with zero legal border crossings.

"We closed the border on day one zero legal border crossings," Vance said in the 34-second clip. "We prioritized fighting against visa fraud that big corporations were using to undercut the wages of American workers."

Connecting Immigration to Housing Costs

The Vice President linked the administration's immigration policies to improvements in the housing market, saying that banning Wall Street from buying homes was part of the solution.

"That's a big win on housing in part because of what we've done on immigration," Vance said. "But we've also banned Wall Street from buying up American homes."

Vance pointed to Texas as an example, claiming that home prices doubled during the Biden administration.

"You actually see in the text state of Texas the list price of homes doubled during the four years of the Biden administration," Vance said. "It is cooled off in the state of Texas and elsewhere in the country too."

The post from @RapidResponse47 accompanied the video with a caption summarizing the Vice President's remarks.
