Two Democrat podcasters spent more than 20 seconds laughing on air last week over a social media post that suggested digging up Charlie Kirk's body and killing him again, then used the segment to claim his accused murderer was a MAGA supporter.
Jennifer Welch and Angie Sullivan, hosts of the I've Had It podcast, read the post during a November 5 episode titled "Drinking MAGA Tears," according to Breitbart. The episode was recorded in the aftermath of Democrat midterm election victories, and the hosts spent the segment reading posts celebrating those wins and mocking conservatives.
Welch read one post aloud: "We're digging up Charlie Kirk and doing it again" — a suggestion to desecrate Kirk's body a second time. The pair then laughed for more than 20 seconds before moving on.
THE MAN THEY CALLED MAGA
During the same segment, the hosts claimed that Tyler Robinson — the man charged in Kirk's murder — was a "MAGA person." That claim is contradicted by the public record compiled by prosecutors and police.
Kirk, 31, was shot and killed while speaking at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University in Orem on September 10, 2025. Robinson was subsequently charged with aggravated murder, and prosecutors announced they would seek the death penalty.
Robinson was registered to vote without a declared party affiliation. Both of his parents were registered Republicans. His mother told police that he had become more politically engaged and increasingly supportive of gay and transgender rights. She also said Robinson had begun dating his transgender roommate, leading to disagreements with relatives, particularly his father. Prosecutors' account described the father and son as holding different political views.
None of that stopped the hosts from presenting Robinson as a member of the movement Kirk helped build.
REACTION ONLINE
The clip drew immediate backlash after being circulated on X. Collin Rugg posted: "Podcasters Jennifer Welch and Angie Sullivan can't stop laughing at the thought of digging up Charlie Kirk's corpse and 'doing it' again to him. After laughing for 30 seconds straight, the women falsely claimed that Tyler Robinson was a 'MAGA person.' They will celebrate your."
Another account, The Officer Tatum, posted: "Pure evil: Podcasters Jennifer Welch and Angie Sullivan erupted in laughter after reading a post about digging up Charlie Kirk and 'doing it again.' They laughed for more than 20 seconds before saying, 'No comment.' These people will celebrate your death and still believe they."
The episode, per Breitbart, also included the hosts reading posts mocking vaccines, abortion, LGBTQ issues and other flashpoints, with Welch declaring herself "a f*cking patriot" because of the jokes and saying the posts made her love the country while Fox News makes her hate it.
WHO WAS CHARLIE KIRK
Kirk founded Turning Point USA and built it into one of the largest grassroots conservative organizations in the country, focused on campus outreach and youth voter registration. His killing at a public event in Utah prompted a nationwide manhunt and renewed scrutiny of political violence. The decision to seek the death penalty against Robinson was announced by prosecutors in the months after the shooting.
The I've Had It episode aired roughly a year after Kirk's death and days after Democrats notched midterm wins that the hosts were celebrating. Whether the podcast's network or distributors have responded to the clip is not publicly known.
Our Take
There is a difference between bad comedy and celebrating the murder of a man in front of his family and a nation of supporters — and these two crossed it without blinking. Laughing at the idea of desecrating a dead man's grave is not edgy. It is not brave. It is the sound of people who have decided that the other side is not human, and who think their audience will applaud.
The lie about Tyler Robinson being MAGA matters just as much as the laugh. The facts say otherwise: no party affiliation, Republican parents, a mother who described a son drifting toward progressive causes and a transgender partner. The hosts did not misread a chart. They built a narrative that lets their listeners believe the violence came from within the movement Kirk built, rather than from a killer whose own family described a political break from his father.
Americans can disagree about taxes, borders and everything else. But when the Left's entertainment class laughs at the thought of digging up a murdered conservative's body and killing him again, it tells you exactly what they think of half the country. Remember it the next time one of them lectures you about "rhetoric" and "unity."
