Internal Russian defense industry documents reveal that Moscow arranged to supply Iran with 90 launchers for advanced guided missiles, offering the most detailed picture yet of the military cooperation between the two adversaries — and raising uncomfortable questions about what the Trump administration knew and when.

The records, obtained by Ukrainian private intelligence firm Dallas Analytics and shared with The Guardian, show a May 2024 production schedule from Vympel, a leading Russian designer of missiles and launch systems, listing an order for 90 APU-L twin-rail launchers under an export contract designated "K-10." Deliveries were scheduled between late 2024 and December 2025. Separate internal paperwork explicitly identifies K-10 as Iran. Fox News Politics first reported the documents' existence.

The launchers are designed to carry Russia's LMUR — a precision-guided missile also known as Product 305 or the Kh-39 — which Russian forces have used extensively against Ukrainian targets since the 2022 invasion. The roughly 230-pound missile carries a 55-pound warhead and can be guided in flight by an operator using an electro-optical seeker and a two-way radio link. Iran had already publicly announced plans to acquire Russian Mi-28 attack helicopters, one of the platforms capable of carrying the weapon. The first export-variant Mi-28NE helicopters were photographed in Iran in January 2026.

The documents also show involvement by Russia's Defense Ministry. A May 2024 letter accompanying the K-10 production schedule was co-signed by the head of the ministry's 123rd Military Representation. An October 2022 supply request for equipment for a Yak-130 aircraft lists the consignee as "'K10' Iran" and was countersigned by the acting head of the Russian Defense Ministry's 704th Military Representation.

The K-10 designation can be traced to Russian hardware that ultimately reached Iran. An internal production schedule listed six Yak-130 aircraft for a consignee identified as K-10. Iranian state media later showed the aircraft entering service in September 2023, and Dallas Analytics said the tail number of one Iranian Yak-130 matched the number listed for K-10 in the Russian factory records.

The paperwork does not establish whether the launchers were ultimately delivered. But it provides new insight into the scale of Russian-Iranian military cooperation at a critical juncture, as Washington considers its next moves in the war against Iran following the U.S. midterm elections.

Moscow is widely viewed as one of the principal beneficiaries of a prolonged conflict. Disruptions to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, coupled with attacks on energy infrastructure across the Gulf, have pushed up global energy prices, boosting Russian oil revenues. The additional income could provide the Kremlin with more resources to sustain its war in Ukraine and ease pressure on an already strained state budget. The conflict has also diverted international attention and Western military resources away from Ukraine, further complicating Kyiv's efforts to secure supplies of critical U.S.-made Patriot air defense interceptors.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly sought to downplay the extent of Russia's assistance to Iran. Last month, he wrote that Russia was doing "very little, if anything" to help Tehran, arguing that he did not want to drive Moscow away from negotiations to end the war in Ukraine.

The revelations drew reaction on social media. X user @MarioNawfal posted: "EU's Kaja Kallas: 'In order to stop the war, the pressure should be on the aggressor.' Well NO SHIT! But while Europe plays meek, Trump's taking side calls with Russia and Putin's potentially teaming up with Iran to give them missiles. It's time for Europe to get its act [together]."

CNN also covered the story on Instagram, with a post captioned "Russia is helping Iran with advanced ..." The post did not provide additional details in the indexed caption.

The documents do not confirm whether the launchers were delivered, and it is not yet known whether the Trump administration was aware of the contract before the war. The White House has not commented on the records.

Our Take

Once again, the mainstream media and the globalist establishment are trying to spin a story that exposes the failures of the Biden regime and the deep state's reckless foreign policy. While President Trump is working tirelessly to secure peace and protect American interests, the radical left and their media allies are using leaked documents to undermine his America First agenda.

The fact is, Russia and Iran have been growing closer for years — a dangerous partnership that the Biden administration ignored while prioritizing woke policies and open borders. Trump has made it clear: he wants to end the war in Ukraine and prevent a broader conflict. But the deep state and their European friends would rather play politics than confront the real threats.

Patriots, ask yourselves: why are these documents surfacing now, just as Trump is taking calls with Putin and working to de-escalate? The timing stinks. The same people who brought you the Russia hoax are now trying to sabotage peace talks with more leaks and innuendo. It's time to demand transparency from our intelligence agencies and hold the globalists accountable. The American people deserve to know the truth — and they deserve a president who puts America first, not the warmongers in Brussels and Washington.

This is exactly what happens when you have weak leadership in the White House. Russia and Iran have been running circles around us for years while the previous administration looked the other way. Trump needs to clean house and fast.

Exactly right. The Obama years gave Iran everything they wanted and now we're paying for it.

Been saying this for a decade. Glad someone finally put it in print.

But what exactly is Trump's team supposed to do now that the damage is already done? Are we talking new sanctions, or is this going to be another case of tough talk with no follow-through?

Sanctions won't cut it anymore. We need to show real strength or our enemies will keep testing us.

I spent two tours in the Middle East and I can tell you firsthand, Iranian missiles were already a serious threat back then. Seeing reports that Russia helped build that arsenal just confirms what a lot of us suspected all along.
