Former Vice President Mike Pence is finding the road to the 2024 presidential election to be anything but smooth. His bid to secure the Oval Office is marred by less-than-expected fundraising outcomes and donor count. His campaign and super PAC reported a combined total of only $3.85 million in Q2, falling significantly short compared to Donald Trump’s $35 million and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ $20 million. Moreover, Pence’s struggle to meet the required 40,000 unique donors for eligibility in the upcoming GOP primary debate is raising questions about his viability as a contender. Despite these hurdles, Pence remains steadfast, confidently stating he’ll participate in the debate. Yet, with such tough competition and lukewarm GOP voter response, his optimism might not be enough.
