The bombshell tweet sent by this Representative last week caused an uproar throughout the nation. After sounding the alarm on Ukrainian funding, the rep put into perspective just how crucial this funding is for these congressmen who have made Ukraine their top priority. The Representative’s powerful words will surely have people second guessing the government’s motive.
Not one to mince words, Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie recently made an impassioned point about the foreign aid being bestowed upon Ukraine – highlighting that $100 billion Ukraine would equal out to an even $200 million per congressional district. This tweet should’ve simply laid the conversation to rest for some still struggling to understand the true motives behind why our government is spending massive amounts of our money to a country we have no business sending it to. Is that simple enough?
Breitbart reports, in terms of the amount of money the U.S. has given Ukraine, that would equal $200 million for each congressional district in the U.S. Prior to Congress ultimately passing the $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill, which grants billions of dollars to Ukraine, Thomas Massie (R-KY) noted.
The Congressman did not hold back in his tweet, asking Americans the crucial question of what $200 million could have done for their district in the U.S. He tweeted.
$100 billion to Ukraine. Let’s put that in perspective. That’s more than $200 million this year from each Congressional district. What could your congressman have done for your district with $200 million? How long will the kids in your district be paying interest on this debt?”
Massie made his observation before both chambers of Congress approved the massive $1.7 trillion budget bill, which included another $45 billion for Ukraine. Over the past year, U.S taxpayers have already contributed $66 billion to the country.
By far, this would exceed the estimated average annual cost of a full-scale U.S. war in Afghanistan, where over one hundred thousand U.S. troops were once deployed.
Don’t worry, America, corrupt Mitch McConnell surely had some encouraging words for us who oppose funding proxy wars.
Here were Mitche’s words on Twitter after Ukraine was paid off again.
“Continuing our support for Ukraine is morally right, but it is not only that. It is also a direct investment in cold, hard, American interests.”
Those look like two very happy rich men, don’t you think?
Americans have had enough of being taken advantage of by both political parties . One party is supposed to represent our interests, but too often it feels like both are representing their own. That’s why we need to get rid of members like McConnell from the Republican Party; he no longer stands for us and makes it difficult for the GOP to succeed. On the flip side, Democrats tell you exactly who and what they represent, which somehow makes them slightly more bearable than its competitors. We would rather know all our enemies up front than be blindsided all together.
