The Trump administration just delivered another powerful blow to uncontrolled immigration, expanding its visa bond program to include 38 countries whose citizens must now post hefty financial guarantees of up to $15,000 before setting foot on American soil.

Effective January 21st, the sweeping policy targets nations with historically high visa overstay rates, putting America's security and sovereignty first. This is exactly the kind of decisive action patriots voted for when they returned President Trump to the White House.

Among the countries hit with the new requirements are several African nations including Nigeria, Algeria, Angola, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. Social media user @KOsukoya highlighted the scope, noting "The Trump administration Tuesday broadened its visa bond program to include citizens from these African countries: Algeria, Angola, Benin, Burundi, Cape Verde, Gabon, Côte d'Ivoire, Nigeria, Senegal, Togo, Uganda, and Zimbabwe."

Common Sense Immigration Policy Returns

Unlike the Biden regime's open-border disasters, Trump's visa bond program ensures foreign visitors have real skin in the game. Want to visit America? Prove you can afford it and prove you'll leave when you're supposed to. It's that simple.

The policy has already triggered the usual meltdown from progressive activists, but as one social media observer noted, "Trump Expands Tough 'Travel Ban,' Progressives Are Weirdly Quiet" - perhaps because deep down, even they know this makes sense.

This bond system creates a powerful financial incentive for visitors to respect our immigration laws. Those who overstay their visas forfeit their bond money - turning immigration enforcement into a revenue generator rather than a taxpayer burden.

America First in Action

The expanded visa bonds represent just the beginning of Trump's second-term immigration crackdown. With mass deportations already ramping up and border security being restored, America is finally putting its own citizens first again.

This is what happens when you elect a president who actually means what he says about protecting American sovereignty. The days of treating our immigration system like a global charity program are officially over.

Finally! This should have been implemented years ago. If people want to come here, they need to show they have skin in the game and aren't just going to disappear into the shadows.

Exactly right Mike. Other countries have similar requirements - we're just catching up to common sense policies.

This is a great start but we need to make sure the money actually gets returned when people leave on time. My cousin had to deal with something similar when he worked overseas and it was a nightmare getting his deposit back.

Good point - the administration needs to set up a streamlined process for refunds or this could backfire.

Does anyone know if this applies to tourist visas or just work visas? The article wasn't completely clear on that point.
