Two illegal immigrants with ties to the notorious Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua were shot by U.S. Border Patrol agents in Portland on Thursday after allegedly attempting to run over federal officers with their vehicle. But instead of thanking law enforcement for protecting Americans, Oregon's radical Democrats are crying foul and attacking the very agents who put their lives on the line.
According to federal authorities, the dangerous gang members escalated what should have been a routine enforcement action into a deadly confrontation when they tried to use their vehicle as a weapon against Border Patrol agents. The officers, faced with imminent threat to their lives, responded appropriately by opening fire.
Yet Oregon's Democratic leaders – who have turned their state into a sanctuary for criminals and cartels – immediately condemned the shooting as "reckless." This is the same backwards thinking that has allowed violent gangs like Tren de Aragua to infiltrate American communities and terrorize innocent families.
"These are the same politicians who defunded police, opened our borders, and created sanctuary cities that protect criminals over citizens,"
one federal source told reporters.
The Trump administration wasted no time exposing the extensive criminal rap sheets of these gang-tied illegals, showing exactly why they never should have been in our country in the first place. This is what happens when you have weak border policies – violent criminals exploit our generosity and attack the very agents trying to protect America.
Oregon Democrats Choose Criminals Over Cops
While Border Patrol agents were fighting for their lives against gang members, Oregon's Democratic establishment was already preparing their anti-law enforcement talking points. These are the same politicians who turned Portland into a lawless wasteland during the BLM riots and continue to prioritize illegal immigrants over American citizens.
