In a disgusting display of disloyalty to America, California Governor Gavin Newsom and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez used an international stage to trash President Trump while launching their obvious 2028 presidential campaigns at the Munich Security Conference this weekend.
Rather than presenting a united American front to our European allies, these two radical Democrats chose to air America's dirty laundry overseas – a move that would have been called treasonous if Republicans had done it during the Obama years. But apparently, when you're a desperate Democrat trying to rebuild your party's shattered brand, selling out your own country to foreign elites is just another Tuesday.
Globalist Pandering on Full Display
Newsom, still nursing his bruised ego from California's continued exodus of businesses and families, used his Munich platform to blast Trump's "America First" agenda while conveniently ignoring his own state's collapsing infrastructure and skyrocketing crime rates. The same governor who can't keep the lights on in California thinks he can lecture the man who's actually making America energy independent again.
Meanwhile, AOC – fresh off watching her socialist agenda get demolished in the 2024 elections – tried to position herself as the voice of reason while criticizing Trump's border security measures. This from the woman whose Green New Deal would have destroyed American jobs and handed our energy independence to China on a silver platter.
"What we're seeing is a clear attempt by failed Democratic leaders to rehabilitate their images by badmouthing America abroad," one Trump administration official told reporters. "It's the same playbook they used during Trump's first term, and Americans rejected it then too."
The timing of this international Trump-bashing tour isn't coincidental. With the Democratic Party in shambles after their 2024 losses, both Newsom and AOC are desperately trying to position themselves as the future of their party. But do they really think American voters want leaders who run to Europe every time they need to criticize their own president?
Patriots should remember this moment when these two come crawling back in 2028, asking Americans to trust them with the White House. If they'll trash America abroad for political points, what won't they sell out for power?
