While most Americans were planning romantic dinners and exchanging gifts on Valentine's Day weekend, President Donald Trump had something else on his mind: delivering an absolutely brutal takedown of one of his most persistent Hollywood haters.
In a blistering Truth Social post Saturday morning, Trump unleashed a devastating critique of HBO's Bill Maher, calling the comedian a "highly overrated LIGHTWEIGHT" and warning Republicans to stop giving the Trump Derangement Syndrome-afflicted host any credibility.
"Bill Maher is a highly overrated LIGHTWEIGHT, and Republicans should stop using him to show how the Left is coming around," Trump wrote in his characteristic no-holds-barred style. The President's Valentine's Day broadside caught many by surprise, but patriots who've watched Maher's years-long obsession with attacking Trump weren't shocked to see him finally get the response he deserves.
The TDS is Strong With This One
For years, Maher has been one of Hollywood's most reliably anti-Trump voices, using his HBO platform "Real Time" to spread leftist propaganda while occasionally throwing out lukewarm criticisms of his own side. But Trump's warning to Republicans is spot-on: just because Maher occasionally breaks from the Democrat plantation doesn't make him an ally worth celebrating.
The President's timing couldn't be more perfect. As his second-term agenda of mass deportations, government efficiency, and America First policies gains momentum, Trump is clearly done tolerating fake friends and useful idiots who think they can play both sides.
"This is exactly the kind of clarity we need from President Trump," said one conservative commentator. "No more legitimizing these Hollywood elites who hate everything we stand for."
Trump's Valentine's Day reality check serves as a reminder that the MAGA movement doesn't need validation from washed-up comedians or Hollywood has-beens. While Maher continues his predictable anti-Trump routine for his dwindling audience, the President is busy making America great again.
Sometimes the best Valentine's gift is a dose of truth. And Bill Maher just got served a supersized portion.
