EXPOSED: GOP Senator TORCHES Dems For Opposing Voter ID While Their Own Voters Demand It

Tennessee Senator Bill Hagerty delivered a devastating blow to Democrats on Sunday, exposing their glaring hypocrisy on voter ID laws that even their own supporters overwhelmingly back.

Appearing on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures," Hagerty didn't mince words about why Democrats continue their desperate fight against common-sense voter identification requirements despite widespread public support.

"The reason Democrats oppose voter ID is obvious," Hagerty told host Maria Bartiromo. "They're protecting the millions of illegal aliens who flooded into our country under Joe Biden's disastrous open border policies."

The Tennessee conservative was discussing Republican efforts to pass the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility Act, legislation that would require proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections. It's a no-brainer policy that enjoys massive bipartisan support among actual American voters.

"While Democrats claim to represent the people, they're actively fighting against something their own voters want. That tells you everything about their real priorities."

Hagerty's comments highlight the stunning disconnect between Democrat leadership and their base. Poll after poll shows Americans across party lines support voter ID requirements, yet Democrat politicians continue their scorched-earth opposition to election integrity measures.

Why? Because they know their political power depends on a broken system that allows non-citizens to potentially influence American elections.

Trump Administration Prioritizes Election Integrity

President Trump's second-term agenda includes sweeping election reforms, and Republicans like Hagerty are leading the charge to restore Americans' confidence in their electoral system.

The contrast couldn't be clearer: Republicans fighting for secure elections that reflect the will of American citizens, while Democrats desperately cling to the chaos and uncertainty that helped them seize power.

As Trump continues his mass deportation efforts and border security crackdown, expect more Republicans to call out Democrat hypocrisy on election integrity. The American people deserve elections decided by Americans – not foreign nationals who shouldn't be here in the first place.

How long will Democrat voters tolerate their leaders ignoring their clearly expressed wishes on such a fundamental issue?

Finally someone with backbone calling out this hypocrisy! How can Democrats claim voter ID is racist when their own supporters want it?
C
ConstitutionFirstVerifiedjust now
Because they know they can't win fair and square. It's all about maintaining power.

Exactly! Even my liberal neighbor thinks you should need ID to vote.

ABOUT TIME! This needed to be said years ago.

Every poll shows majority support for voter ID across party lines. Democrat politicians are completely out of step with their own voters on this one!

I literally had to show my ID three times last week - at the bank, picking up a prescription, and returning something at Costco. But somehow requiring it to vote is suppression? Make it make sense.

Right?! It's basic common sense that somehow became controversial.

The fact that this is even controversial shows how far off the rails things have gotten. Voter ID should be bipartisan common sense.

Absolutely agree. This shouldn't be a Republican vs Democrat issue at all.

I've been saying this for years to anyone who will listen. Even my Democratic friends privately admit voter ID makes sense, they just won't say it publicly.

I served 22 years in the military to protect our democracy. You need an ID for everything else - flying, buying alcohol, getting into federal buildings. Why is voting any different?

Which GOP senator was this? I want to make sure I'm supporting them in the next election cycle.
