The 2026 Winter Olympics are approaching, and once again we're being told we must blindly support every athlete wearing Team USA colors - even those who openly despise the country they claim to represent. Well, patriots, it's time to say enough is enough.
For too long, Americans have been guilted into cheering for Olympic athletes who use their platform to trash the very nation that provided them with the opportunities, resources, and freedoms necessary to compete on the world stage. These ungrateful competitors take America's investment in their training, coaching, and equipment, then turn around and lecture us about how terrible our country supposedly is.
When Athletes Bite The Hand That Feeds Them
Remember the disgraceful display we witnessed in recent Olympics? Athletes turning their backs on the flag, kneeling during the national anthem, and using their medal ceremonies as political protests against America. These spoiled competitors seem to forget that millions of patriots work hard, pay taxes, and sacrifice so they can pursue their Olympic dreams.
"U.S. athletes who use the Olympics as an avenue to thumb their noses at America deserve nothing but scorn and defeat," according to a new analysis from The Federalist that perfectly captures what millions of fed-up Americans are thinking.
"Why should we root for people who fundamentally hate us and everything we stand for? That's not patriotism - that's masochism."
The left-wing media will scream that we're being "unpatriotic" for not supporting these America-bashers. But they have it completely backwards. What's truly unpatriotic is representing the United States on the world's biggest stage while simultaneously trashing the country that made your success possible.
Real Patriots Know The Difference
This isn't about demanding blind nationalism or refusing to acknowledge America's imperfections. It's about basic respect and gratitude. When you put on that Team USA uniform, you're representing 330 million Americans - including the ones whose tax dollars helped fund your journey to the Olympics.
Patriots understand the difference between constructive criticism born from love of country and performative activism designed to virtue-signal to woke elites. We can tell when someone genuinely wants to make America better versus when they're just pandering for social media likes and corporate sponsorships.
So when these anti-American athletes take the field, track, or ice, don't feel guilty about hoping they fall flat on their faces. Real patriots will be cheering for the competitors who actually appreciate the incredible privilege of representing the greatest nation on earth.
