A prominent Catholic bishop just delivered a masterclass in destroying leftist propaganda, systematically dismantling Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's latest attack on Western civilization while exposing the Marxist foundations of her anti-American rhetoric.
Bishop Robert Barron took to X with a powerful video response after AOC criticized Secretary of State Marco Rubio's defense of Western culture at the Munich Security Conference. While Rubio stood up for the shared values and heritage of Europe and America, the radical New York Democrat predictably launched into her usual America-bashing routine.
But Bishop Barron wasn't having any of it.
"Your argument is, well, because cultures always change? Well, that's a banality!" Barron fired back at AOC's shallow critique, cutting straight through her pseudo-intellectual posturing.
The bishop correctly identified AOC's talking points as "right out of the Marxist playbook" – the same tired strategy of cultural deconstruction that leftists have used for decades to undermine American values and Western civilization itself.

AOC's reflexive hostility toward Western civilization isn't surprising – it's the natural result of decades of Marxist indoctrination in our universities and cultural institutions. These radicals can't stand that Western values like individual liberty, free markets, and constitutional government have created the most prosperous and free societies in human history.
Secretary Rubio deserves credit for defending our civilization on the world stage, and Bishop Barron deserves praise for backing him up against the radical left's predictable attacks.
The question is: will more religious and conservative leaders follow Bishop Barron's example and start fighting back against this cultural Marxism? Or will they continue letting radicals like AOC tear down everything our ancestors built?
