As President Trump prepares to deliver what promises to be a triumphant State of the Union address next Tuesday, highlighting his administration's early victories, at least 12 congressional Democrats are planning to boycott the speech in a petulant display of partisan resistance.
Even worse, two radical leftist organizations – MeidasTouch Network and MoveOn – are hosting what they're calling the "People's State of the Union" on the National Mall as counter-programming to the President's constitutionally mandated address to Congress and the American people.
This shameful behavior perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with today's Democratic Party. While Trump focuses on delivering results for hardworking Americans – securing the border, cutting regulations, and restoring American strength – these leftist politicians and activists are throwing another temper tantrum because their candidate lost.
Same Old Resistance Playbook
Remember when Democrats used to at least pretend to respect the office of the presidency? Those days are long gone. Instead of listening to the President outline his agenda for making America great again, these radical Democrats would rather stage political theater on the National Mall.
The boycotting lawmakers and their activist allies can't stand that Trump is back in the White House, systematically undoing the damage from the Biden regime and delivering on his America First promises. From mass deportations to energy dominance, Trump is keeping his word to the American people – and the left is absolutely losing their minds.
Meanwhile, millions of patriotic Americans will be tuning in to hear from their duly elected President about the true state of our union and his vision for continued prosperity and security.
