Socialist Bernie Sanders' hand-picked Senate candidate in Michigan is getting roasted for doing exactly what we'd expect from a radical leftist politician – saying whatever it takes to get elected, even if it means betraying his core beliefs.

Abdul El-Sayed, who's running for the U.S. Senate seat in Michigan with Sanders' enthusiastic endorsement, is now being hammered by critics for allegedly flip-flopping on the crown jewel of progressive politics: Medicare-for-All. Apparently, when push came to shove and El-Sayed realized Michigan voters weren't buying his socialist healthcare takeover, he decided to quietly abandon ship.

This is the same Abdul El-Sayed who built his entire political brand around government-controlled healthcare. Now that he's facing real voters in a purple state, suddenly he's trying to have it both ways – keeping the Sanders base happy while not scaring off moderate Democrats who actually have to live with the consequences of these radical policies.

The Socialist Shuffle

What's particularly rich about this whole situation is watching Sanders – the guy who spent decades railing against the "establishment" – endorse candidates who immediately start acting like establishment politicians the moment they need votes. El-Sayed's apparent flip-flop shows exactly why the progressive movement can't be trusted: they'll say anything to gain power, then govern however they want once they're in office.

Michigan families are dealing with real healthcare challenges right now, and they deserve honesty from their representatives – not political games from socialist candidates who can't even stick to their supposed principles long enough to win an election.

"This is what happens when radical ideology meets political reality – the ideology gets thrown under the bus faster than you can say 'Medicare-for-All.'"

The Trump administration has been working to actually improve healthcare affordability and access through market-based solutions and price transparency. Meanwhile, Democrats like El-Sayed can't even figure out what they believe from one week to the next.

Michigan Patriots deserve better than a flip-flopping socialist who changes his tune based on polling data. Will voters see through this obvious political calculation, or will they reward another Sanders-backed candidate who can't be trusted to keep his word?

Typical socialist politician - say whatever it takes to get elected then flip to the radical agenda once in office. Michigan voters need to see through this obvious pandering!

Exactly right! We've seen this playbook before with AOC and the squad.

How convenient that Sanders suddenly discovers 'moderate' positions right when polling shows Medicare-for-All is unpopular in swing districts. The math on single-payer has never worked anyway - my small business would be crushed by those tax increases.
