Yaoning "Mike" Sun, 65, was sentenced Monday to four years in federal prison after pleading guilty in October 2025 to acting as an illegal agent of the Chinese Communist Party. But don't expect Mayor Wang to explain how she managed to get romantically involved with a Chinese spy without knowing it.
This is exactly the kind of national security nightmare that patriots have been warning about for years. How does a sitting American mayor end up engaged to someone working for our biggest geopolitical enemy? And more importantly, what did Wang know and when did she know it?
From Public Praise to Convenient Amnesia
The timing is particularly suspicious. Wang previously had no problem publicly acknowledging her relationship with Sun when it served her political purposes. But now that he's heading to federal prison for espionage? Suddenly she's got nothing to say to the taxpayers who elected her.
This case perfectly illustrates how deep Chinese infiltration has penetrated into American institutions - right down to city halls in suburban California. While President Trump and his administration are working tirelessly to counter the CCP threat, we're discovering that Beijing's tentacles have been wrapping around our local politicians for who knows how long.
Patriots deserve answers. Did Mayor Wang have any knowledge of Sun's activities? Did she provide him with any sensitive information about city operations or personnel? Has the FBI properly investigated all potential security breaches?
The fact that Wang is now playing the silent game instead of reassuring her constituents speaks volumes. If she has nothing to hide, why not address this head-on and demonstrate transparency?
This is what happens when we don't properly vet the people in our leaders' inner circles. Thank God we now have a president who takes the China threat seriously and isn't afraid to call out the CCP's infiltration efforts.
