During an ABC interview, Gallego was asked about federal workers laboring without paychecks due to the DHS funding impasse. His response? A cold shoulder to the very men and women risking their lives to secure America's borders.
"We know for a fact that ICE, Border Patrol, [they] have enough money for them to continue," Gallego stated, apparently unbothered by the financial hardship facing thousands of frontline border security personnel.
"This is exactly the kind of callous disregard for our border agents that we've come to expect from Democrats who spent four years under Biden treating ICE and Border Patrol like the enemy."
Gallego's dismissive attitude is particularly galling given Arizona's position as ground zero for the border crisis. While families of border agents worry about making mortgage payments and putting food on the table, this Democrat senator waves away their concerns with bureaucratic talking points.
