During a recent interview, Hunt didn't pull any punches, citing reports that have raised serious questions about the Maryland governor's wild tales. Moore has repeatedly claimed he had some kind of harrowing escape from KKK members, painting himself as a brave hero who overcame racist persecution.
But here's the problem – when you're trying to build your entire political brand around being a victim-turned-victor, those stories better hold up under scrutiny. And apparently, Moore's don't.

But if this is the best they can do – a governor whose own dramatic origin story doesn't pass the smell test at his own party's favorite network – then 2028 is looking pretty good for America First conservatives.
