When even CNN won't carry water for a rising Democrat star, you know something's seriously wrong. Governor Wes Moore (D-MD), the media darling being groomed as a potential 2028 presidential candidate, just got absolutely grilled by CNN's Kasie Hunt over his increasingly questionable claims about dramatically escaping from the Ku Klux Klan.

That's right, patriots – the same network that spent years covering for every Biden administration disaster and pushing Russian collusion hoaxes is now fact-checking one of their own party's golden boys. What does that tell you about how ridiculous Moore's story really is?

During a recent interview, Hunt didn't pull any punches, citing reports that have raised serious questions about the Maryland governor's wild tales. Moore has repeatedly claimed he had some kind of harrowing escape from KKK members, painting himself as a brave hero who overcame racist persecution.

But here's the problem – when you're trying to build your entire political brand around being a victim-turned-victor, those stories better hold up under scrutiny. And apparently, Moore's don't.

The Left's Victim Narrative Falls Apart

This is exactly what we've come to expect from today's Democratic Party. They can't run on their failed policies – just look at what the Biden regime did to our economy, our border, and our standing in the world. So instead, they manufacture these elaborate personal narratives designed to tug at heartstrings and deflect from their lack of real solutions.

Moore joins a long list of Democrats who have been caught embellishing or outright fabricating their personal histories. Remember when Elizabeth Warren claimed to be Native American? Or when Hillary Clinton claimed she was under sniper fire in Bosnia?

The fact that even CNN – the network that gave us "mostly peaceful protests" while cities burned – is questioning Moore's story should be a massive red flag for any thinking American.

As President Trump continues to deliver real results in his second term, Democrats are scrambling to find anyone who can compete with his proven track record. But if this is the best they can do – a governor whose own dramatic origin story doesn't pass the smell test at his own party's favorite network – then 2028 is looking pretty good for America First conservatives.

How desperate must the Democrats be if their rising stars need to invent KKK escape stories to seem relevant?

When even CNN is calling out your story, you KNOW it's bad! This is exactly the kind of fabricated victim narrative the left always pushes to gain sympathy votes. Whatever happened to honest politicians who didn't need to make up dramatic stories about their past?

Honest politicians? That's an oxymoron these days, especially on the left side of the aisle.

The fact that this person thinks they can run for president in 2028 with such an obviously fabricated backstory shows how out of touch Democrats really are. Do they really think Americans are that gullible?
