Billionaire Leslie Wexner is desperately trying to rewrite history about his cozy relationship with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, telling House Democrats this week that he was somehow an innocent victim who got "conned" by the monster he empowered for decades.
The 88-year-old former Victoria's Secret CEO was questioned at his Ohio mansion Wednesday by Democrat members of the House Oversight Committee, where he painted himself as just another naive billionaire who couldn't see through Epstein's facade. But here's what's really jaw-dropping: Wexner has previously suggested he was under some kind of demonic influence during his relationship with the child trafficker.
In his prepared statement, Wexner whined that he's "been the subject of outrageous untrue statements and hurtful rumor, innuendo, and speculation," claiming he was "naive, foolish, and gullible to put any trust in Jeffrey Epstein." Really? A business titan who built a retail empire worth billions was too "gullible" to notice his financial manager was running an international child sex trafficking operation?
"I was naive, foolish, and gullible to put any trust in Jeffrey Epstein," Wexner stated in his testimony.
The Demonic Possession Defense
But Wexner's excuses get even more bizarre. The billionaire has previously floated the idea that he was somehow demonically possessed during his dealings with Epstein, as if supernatural forces made him hand over unprecedented control of his vast fortune to a known associate of underage girls.
This is the same man who gave Epstein power of attorney over his finances and even gifted him a $77 million Manhattan mansion. Patriots, does this sound like someone who was "conned," or someone desperately trying to cover his tracks now that the heat is on?
While Wexner plays victim, real victims of Epstein's trafficking ring are still seeking justice. It's convenient that America's elite only discover their "concerns" about Epstein after he's dead and can't implicate them further.
