Just three weeks into President Trump's second term, the swamp creatures are already crawling out of the woodwork to undermine America's commander-in-chief. Reps. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY) announced they'll force a vote next week on a war powers resolution designed to tie Trump's hands as he confronts the Iranian terrorist regime.
The timing couldn't be more suspicious. As Trump deploys the world's largest aircraft carrier to send a clear message to Iran's ayatollahs, these two congressional saboteurs want to strip away the president's ability to defend American interests and allies in the region.
Khanna, a far-left California Democrat with a history of appeasing America's enemies, is predictably leading this effort to weaken our national security posture. But what's truly disturbing is seeing Kentucky's Thomas Massie - who calls himself a Republican - joining forces with the radical left to undermine our own president.
Deep State Playbook in Action
This is the same tired playbook the establishment has used for decades: talk tough on the campaign trail, then tie the hands of any leader who actually wants to project American strength abroad. While Trump is busy restoring America's credibility on the world stage after four years of Biden's weakness, these congressional obstructionists want to return to the failed policies that emboldened Iran in the first place.
Remember, this is the same Iranian regime that funds terrorism across the Middle East, threatens to wipe Israel off the map, and has been plotting attacks against American citizens and officials. But apparently Khanna and Massie think now is the perfect time to hamstring the one president willing to stand up to these thugs.
"The American people didn't elect Trump to have his foreign policy dictated by a handful of war-skeptical congressmen who seem more concerned with protecting Iran than protecting America."
Patriots need to ask themselves: whose side are these politicians really on? When push comes to shove, will they stand with America and our allies, or will they continue enabling the very regime that chants "Death to America" in their parliament?
President Trump has consistently shown he can project strength without unnecessary wars. But that requires having the flexibility to respond when America's enemies test our resolve. This resolution would strip away that crucial deterrent effect that keeps our enemies in check.
