While America prepares to celebrate its momentous 250th anniversary, a powerful truth is emerging that makes liberals squirm: Black Americans don't need hyphenated identities to belong to this great nation — they ARE Americans, period.

For generations, black Americans understood this simple reality. They were Americans who happened to be black, not some separate category requiring special designations or perpetual victim status. But the radical Left has spent decades poisoning this natural patriotism with divisive identity politics.

The Left's Hyphen Hustle

Why does the progressive establishment insist on fracturing American identity with endless hyphens? Because unity terrifies them. When black Americans embrace their full citizenship — not as African-Americans or any other hyphenated category — they become harder to control and manipulate for political gain.

The truth is, millions of black Americans love this country, serve in our military, build businesses, raise families, and pursue the American Dream just like everyone else. They don't need condescending liberals telling them they're somehow less American or require special treatment.

"The moment we stop seeing ourselves as hyphenated Americans is the moment we reclaim our full heritage as citizens of the greatest nation on earth."

President Trump's second-term agenda of putting America First resonates with patriots of all backgrounds because it speaks to our shared identity as Americans — not our differences.

Reclaiming American Unity

As we approach this historic anniversary, it's time to reject the Left's divisive playbook. Black Americans don't need permission from white liberals to be patriotic. They don't need to apologize for loving the flag or supporting law enforcement or believing in traditional values.

The same Constitution that protects every American's rights doesn't have separate sections for different races — because we're ALL Americans under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

How long will we let the radical Left use hyphenated identities to divide us? True unity comes when every citizen — regardless of color — proudly calls themselves simply American.

This article hits the nail on the head. Why do we keep allowing politicians and media to push these divisive categories? My neighbor across the street is a great American who happens to be black, not a 'hyphenated American' - and he feels the same way about this issue.

EXACTLY! We're all Americans first and foremost. The hyphenated labels only serve to divide us when we should be united under one flag and one constitution.

This is what Dr. King dreamed of - judging by character, not color or labels.

Couldn't agree more. I served alongside Americans of every background and we all bled the same red, white and blue.
