The Washington establishment is in full meltdown mode after National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett committed the ultimate sin: demanding accountability from the supposedly "untouchable" Federal Reserve bureaucracy.

Hassett is facing a coordinated attack from the usual suspects after he correctly stated that New York Fed staff should be "disciplined" for releasing a biased tariff report designed to undermine President Trump's America First trade agenda. The report, like so many that came before it during Trump's first term, conveniently painted the administration's policies in the worst possible light.

But here's what the legacy media won't tell you: Hassett is absolutely right to call out these unelected bureaucrats who think they're above accountability.

The Fed's "Independence" Myth Exposed

Critics are clutching their pearls and screaming about the Federal Reserve's "independence" - as if being independent means having a license to produce partisan hit pieces against the elected president's policies without consequence.

This is the same Federal Reserve that spent years doing the bidding of the Biden regime, keeping interest rates artificially low while inflation ravaged American families. Where was their precious "independence" then?

The truth is, Fed "independence" has become code for "Deep State immunity." These bureaucrats want to influence policy and shape public opinion through their reports, but they don't want to face any pushback when those reports are clearly biased against conservative policies.

"The Federal Reserve shouldn't be a partisan weapon disguised as an independent institution," one Trump administration official told sources close to the matter.

Patriots Deserve Honest Analysis

American taxpayers fund these institutions and deserve honest, unbiased economic analysis - not thinly veiled political attacks on the president they elected. If Fed officials can't provide that basic level of professional integrity, then yes, they absolutely should face consequences.

Hassett's comments represent exactly the kind of accountability that voters demanded when they put Trump back in the White House. No more sacred cows. No more untouchable bureaucracies. No more Deep State immunity.

The establishment's hysterical reaction to Hassett's reasonable demand only proves how desperately they want to protect their ability to sabotage Trump's agenda from within. Patriots see right through this manufactured outrage.

Can someone explain why the establishment is so terrified of Fed audits? What exactly are they hiding from the American people?

They're hiding decades of market manipulation and backroom deals with big banks. An audit would expose it all.

The deep state swamp creatures are panicking because Trump means business this time!

As a business owner who's watched interest rates destroy my expansion plans, I'm grateful Trump's team is finally taking on these unelected bureaucrats. The Fed's policies have crushed main street while Wall Street gets richer.

FINALLY someone with the backbone to demand transparency from the Fed! They've been operating in the shadows for too long while working families suffer from their disastrous policies.

Exactly right Paul. The Fed has zero accountability to We the People yet controls our entire monetary system.
