On Thursday, New York officials urged the nation's highest court to dismiss the GOP's emergency petition seeking to maintain current boundaries for Rep. Nicole Malliotakis's (R-NY) district ahead of the 2026 elections. The Republican congresswoman, along with other New York GOP officials, filed the desperate appeal last week as Democrats move to redraw maps that would likely eliminate her competitive seat.
This is classic Democrat playbook, folks – when they can't win at the ballot box, they simply redraw the lines to guarantee victory. Malliotakis represents Staten Island and parts of Brooklyn – one of the few remaining Republican strongholds in the liberal wasteland that New York City has become under Democrat rule.
