Just when you thought the radical left couldn't sink any lower in their attacks on President Trump's immigration enforcement, along comes New Jersey Democratic-socialist Analilia Mejia with perhaps the most disgusting comparison yet.
After winning her primary race for the New Jersey governor's vacant House seat, Mejia had the audacity to compare Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to 1960s segregationists, even invoking the Birmingham Children's Crusade in her unhinged rant against federal immigration efforts.
This is the state of the modern Democratic Party, folks – comparing law enforcement officers who are protecting our borders and enforcing immigration law to those who denied civil rights to American citizens. It's not just wrong, it's morally reprehensible.
The Left's Desperate Playbook
Mejia's inflammatory rhetoric represents everything wrong with today's Democratic Party. Instead of supporting President Trump's common-sense approach to securing our borders and removing criminal illegal aliens, she's choosing to play the race card and weaponize one of the most painful chapters in American history.
ICE agents aren't denying Americans their constitutional rights – they're protecting American citizens by enforcing immigration law. There's a massive difference between civil rights and the privileges that illegal immigrants demand, but don't expect a Democratic-socialist to understand that distinction.
"This comparison is not only factually wrong, it's an insult to every American who fought for civil rights and every ICE agent risking their lives to protect our communities," said one immigration enforcement advocate.
What's truly revealing is how desperate Democrats have become. With President Trump's mass deportation program gaining overwhelming support from the American people, the left is resorting to the most extreme rhetoric possible to try to stop common-sense immigration enforcement.
Patriots in New Jersey need to remember Mejia's radical stance when they head to the polls. This is what the Democratic Party has become – a party that puts illegal immigrants before American citizens and demonizes the brave men and women protecting our borders.
