California Republican gubernatorial candidate Chad Bianco is facing fierce backlash from conservative voters after his support for giving illegal immigrants a "path to citizenship" surfaced in a resurfaced November interview.
The Riverside County Sheriff, running in what's expected to be a crowded GOP primary, told Pastura California that he believes America should create pathways for illegal immigrants currently living in the United States to become citizens - a position that sounds more like Nancy Pelosi than the America First movement that swept Trump back into the White House.
This is exactly the kind of RINO betrayal that has California Republicans losing for decades. While President Trump is delivering on his promise of mass deportations and securing our border, Bianco is pushing the same failed amnesty schemes that Republican voters have repeatedly rejected.
Another Day, Another Establishment Sellout
Patriots have to ask themselves: if Bianco can't stand firm on the most basic conservative principle - that illegal immigration is, well, ILLEGAL - what other core values will he abandon the moment the Sacramento swamp puts pressure on him?
California desperately needs a governor who will work WITH the Trump administration's deportation efforts, not undermine them with sanctuary state policies disguised as "compassionate conservatism."
"We need leaders who will enforce our immigration laws, not find creative ways to reward lawbreaking," said one GOP primary voter who requested anonymity.
The timing couldn't be worse for Bianco. As Trump's immigration enforcement machine ramps up operations across the country, California Republicans are looking for a fighter who will restore law and order to the Golden State - not another moderate who thinks the solution to illegal immigration is making it legal.
Conservative voters deserve to know: will their gubernatorial candidates stand with Trump's America First agenda, or will they cave to the same open-borders lobby that has turned California into a Third World nightmare?
California Patriots need to vet these candidates carefully. The last thing the state needs is another Republican governor who governs like a Democrat.
