Rabid anti-Trump actor Robert De Niro has once again descended into full conspiracy mode, claiming without evidence that President Donald Trump will refuse to leave office when his second term concludes in 2029. The aging Hollywood has-been made the inflammatory remarks in what appears to be another desperate attempt to remain relevant in the political spotlight.
De Niro, who has made a career out of Trump Derangement Syndrome over the past decade, told reporters that "it's up to us to get rid of him" – language that sounds suspiciously like the kind of inflammatory rhetoric Democrats love to accuse conservatives of using.
But here's the reality check De Niro desperately needs: President Trump has already served one full term, left office peacefully in January 2021, and was democratically re-elected by the American people in 2024. The idea that he would somehow refuse to leave after his constitutionally-mandated second term is pure fantasy – the kind of unhinged conspiracy theory that would get you banned from social media if you were a conservative.
Hollywood's Broken Record
This isn't the first time De Niro has peddled these baseless conspiracy theories. The "Goodfellas" actor has been making similar claims for years, apparently unable to accept that Trump won fair and square in 2024 despite all of Hollywood's best efforts to stop him.
"These Hollywood elites just can't accept that real Americans rejected their woke agenda and chose Trump's America First policies," said one political analyst. "De Niro's comments sound more like projection than prediction."
What's truly rich is that this is the same crowd that spent four years calling any questioning of election integrity "dangerous to democracy." Now they're literally suggesting Americans need to "get rid of" a democratically elected president based on their own wild conspiracy theories.
The truth is, President Trump has shown nothing but respect for constitutional term limits. Unlike the Deep State actors who tried to undermine his first presidency, Trump actually believes in following the Constitution – including the 22nd Amendment that limits presidents to two terms.
Patriots across America are seeing right through De Niro's desperate attention-seeking antics. The question is: when will Hollywood finally accept that their political opinions carry about as much weight as their box office receipts these days?
