JUSTICE SERVED: Portland Anti-ICE Radical Faces 20 Years for Rock Attack on Federal Agent

A Portland leftist agitator is finally facing the music for his violent assault on a federal immigration officer, pleading guilty to charges that could land him behind bars for two decades. Robert Jacob Hoopes admitted in court Wednesday to aggravated assault of a federal employee with a dangerous weapon after hurling a large rock at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer in June 2025.

This is what real accountability looks like, Patriots. After years of watching radical Democrats coddle Antifa thugs and anti-ICE extremists, we're finally seeing justice served under the Trump-Vance administration.

The attack occurred during one of the many violent confrontations that have become Portland's calling card, as leftist militants continue their war against federal law enforcement. While Democrats spent years demonizing ICE agents as the enemy, brave federal officers have been putting their lives on the line to secure our borders and enforce immigration law.

Biden's Legacy of Lawlessness Comes Home to Roost

Remember when Portland was the poster child for Biden's America? When radical mayors stood by while Antifa burned federal courthouses and attacked federal agents night after night? This assault is the direct result of years of Democrat politicians emboldening these domestic terrorists with their anti-ICE rhetoric.

Hoopes now faces up to 20 years in federal prison for his violent tantrum against the rule of law. That's what happens when you assault federal agents doing their job – something the anti-American left never seemed to understand.

Under President Trump's leadership, we're seeing a renewed respect for law enforcement and actual consequences for those who think they can attack federal agents with impunity. The days of catch-and-release justice for left-wing extremists are over.

This case sends a crystal clear message to every Antifa thug and anti-ICE radical still lurking in Portland's shadows: attack our federal agents, and you'll face the full weight of American justice. Twenty years is a long time to think about your poor life choices.

How many more of these violent leftists will think twice before assaulting federal officers now that there are real consequences again?

Finally! These radical leftists need to learn that there are consequences for violence against our federal agents. Twenty years sounds about right for someone who thinks throwing rocks at law enforcement is acceptable.

Absolutely agree. I served 22 years and it's infuriating to see these people attack the very officers protecting our borders.

As someone who watched my neighborhood get destroyed during the riots, I'm glad to see at least one of these criminals finally getting what they deserve. My insurance still hasn't fully covered the damage to my storefront.

This is what happens when you have weak local leadership that refuses to prosecute. Thank God the federal government stepped in to protect their own agents.

Exactly right. Portland's mayor and DA have failed their city completely.

Twenty years might seem harsh to some, but assaulting federal agents is a serious crime. These ICE agents are just doing their jobs protecting our immigration system.

About time Portland started holding these anarchists accountable instead of just letting them run wild in the streets.

Does anyone know if this individual had previous arrests during the 2020 riots? Seems like these are often repeat offenders who never faced real consequences before.
