Patriots, the story of America's founding isn't just about human courage and determination - it's about Divine Providence protecting the man who would become our greatest President through impossible odds and supreme acts of daring that should have killed him.
George Washington himself believed ardently that God's hand guided Americans to victory in the Revolution and the founding of our republic. But what's even more remarkable is how Providence took special care of Washington personally, making it crystal clear he was the indispensable man destined to birth the greatest nation on earth.
Think about it, folks - how many times did Washington put himself directly in harm's way, leading from the front when any rational commander would have stayed safely behind the lines? The man had horses shot out from under him, bullets tear through his coat, and cannonballs whiz past his head. Yet he survived every single encounter that should have ended his life.
Miraculous Protection in Battle
During the French and Indian War, a young Washington had two horses killed beneath him and four bullet holes shot through his coat - but emerged without a scratch. An Indian chief later told him that his warriors had specifically targeted Washington during the battle, firing at him repeatedly, but their bullets seemed to have no effect.
"The Great Spirit protects that man, and guides his destinies - he will become the chief of nations, and a people yet unborn will hail him as the founder of a mighty empire," the chief reportedly said.
This wasn't coincidence, Patriots. This was God preparing Washington for his true calling - to lead the fight for American independence and establish the constitutional republic that would become the beacon of freedom for the world.
At a time when President Trump is restoring America's greatness and returning us to our founding principles, it's worth remembering that Divine Providence has always had a special plan for this nation. Just as God protected Washington through impossible dangers, He continues to watch over America and those who fight for her founding values.
The question every American should ask: If Providence protected our founders through their darkest hours to birth this republic, what is God calling us to do to preserve it for future generations?
