In yet another slap in the face to patriotic Americans, Eileen Gu—the California-born freestyle skier who chose Communist China over the United States—is now celebrating herself as the "most decorated freeskier of all time, male or female" after winning gold in the halfpipe event at the Winter Olympics on Sunday.
This is the same Eileen Gu who was born and raised in America, trained on American slopes, and benefited from American opportunities—only to stab her own country in the back by competing for the Chinese Communist Party when it mattered most.
While real American athletes proudly represent the red, white, and blue on the world stage, Gu chose to wave the flag of a regime that imprisons political dissidents, commits genocide against Uyghur Muslims, and actively works to undermine American interests around the globe.
A Pattern of Betrayal
Gu's decision to compete for China wasn't just about sports—it was about money and fame. The CCP rolled out the red carpet for this American turncoat, offering lucrative sponsorship deals and celebrity status that she apparently valued more than representing the country that gave her everything.
"It's absolutely disgusting," said one Olympic commentator. "Here's someone who benefited from American freedom, American training facilities, and American opportunities, and she throws it all away to compete for a communist dictatorship."
"This isn't just about one athlete—it's about what happens when people put personal gain over patriotism and love of country."
Under President Trump's America First agenda, we're seeing a renewed emphasis on putting American interests—and American athletes—first. Meanwhile, traitors like Gu continue to embarrass themselves on the world stage by shilling for our enemies.
The question every patriotic American should be asking: How many more Eileen Gus are out there, ready to sell out their own country for a few pieces of Chinese silver?
