In what can only be described as an unprecedented display of partisan pettiness, Democrat governors appear to have collectively boycotted President Trump's White House dinner during the National Governors Association winter meeting this past Saturday night.

Reporters on the scene noted the glaring absence of any Democrat governors at what has traditionally been a bipartisan gathering where elected officials put politics aside for an evening of diplomacy and dialogue. President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump graciously hosted the event, but their olive branch was apparently rejected by the radical left.

This childish behavior from Democrat governors speaks volumes about the current state of the Democratic Party. While President Trump extends an invitation to work together for the American people, these so-called "leaders" can't even show basic respect for the office of the presidency—or the taxpayers who fund their salaries.

A Pattern of Obstruction

This boycott fits perfectly with the Democrats' playbook of resistance at all costs. Rather than engaging in good-faith discussions about issues affecting their states—from border security to economic growth—these governors chose to throw a collective tantrum instead.

Meanwhile, Republican governors who did attend had the opportunity to discuss real solutions with President Trump, including his America First agenda that's already delivering results. From mass deportations cleaning up our communities to deregulation boosting business growth, there's plenty of success to celebrate.

"The contrast couldn't be clearer: Republicans focused on governing, Democrats focused on grandstanding."

What message does this send to the American people? That Democrat governors care more about scoring political points than representing their constituents? That they're so consumed by Trump Derangement Syndrome they can't even attend a dinner?

Patriots, this is exactly why we voted for President Trump's second term. While Democrats play games, Trump gets results. Their absence from this dinner only proves they're not serious about working for the American people—they're just the opposition party, plain and simple.

Absolutely disgraceful behavior from these Democrat governors! This is exactly the kind of petty politics that Americans are tired of. President Trump is trying to unite the country and they're acting like children.

100% agree! They complain about division then pull stunts like this.

The hypocrisy is staggering - these are the same people who lecture us about 'norms' and 'civility' in politics. Trump extends an olive branch and they slap it away. Their loss!

Exactly! They're showing their true partisan nature while Trump is being the adult in the room.

This just shows their true colors - they care more about partisan games than working together for the American people.

Has this ever happened before with previous administrations? I can't remember governors outright boycotting a White House dinner like this. Seems like a new low even for Democrats.

Not that I can recall. Even during heated political times, there was still some basic respect for the office and these traditions.

Unprecedented disrespect is right! These governors are putting their Trump Derangement Syndrome ahead of their duty to their states.

Good! Now we know exactly which governors put politics before their states. Voters will remember this come election time.

As someone who's worked in local government for 20 years, this kind of behavior is unprofessional and counterproductive. You can disagree politically but still show up and do your job representing your constituents.
