In a desperate attempt to steal thunder from President Trump's triumphant State of the Union address, Democrats have chosen perhaps the worst possible messenger to deliver their pre-emptive attack: Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ), a lawmaker currently facing federal charges for her radical immigration activism.
McIver, who was charged last year for attempting to illegally enter an immigration holding facility, will partner with the far-left group "Democracy Defenders Action" on Tuesday morning to deliver what they're calling a "prebuttal" to Trump's first State of the Union of his second term.
The irony is rich, folks. A Democrat facing federal charges for breaking immigration law is going to lecture Americans about "threats to democracy" just hours before President Trump lays out his vision for Making America Great Again.
According to reports, McIver plans to warn about "threats facing our democracy" - apparently oblivious to the fact that she's the one who allegedly broke federal law while trying to obstruct immigration enforcement. This is the same radical representative who put political theater above law and order when she attempted to breach a secure federal facility.
Democrats' Desperation on Full Display
This stunt perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with today's Democratic Party. Instead of working with President Trump to secure our borders and fix our immigration system, they're doubling down on the same failed resistance tactics that cost them the 2024 election.
While Trump prepares to address the nation about real solutions - completing the border wall, mass deportations of criminal aliens, and restoring American energy dominance - Democrats are trotting out a lawmaker under federal indictment to spread more fear and division.
The choice of McIver reveals just how tone-deaf the Democratic establishment has become. They're so desperate to attack Trump that they'll put a potentially compromised representative front and center, hoping Americans won't notice her legal troubles.
Patriots across America will see right through this charade. While President Trump delivers results and keeps his promises to the American people, Democrats offer nothing but more of the same radical resistance that drove them out of power.
The real question is: how many more Americans will wake up to see which party is actually fighting for them versus which party is fighting against the rule of law itself?
