SHAMEFUL: Women's Hockey Team SNUBS Trump's State of Union Invite While Men Show CLASS

The stark difference between patriotic Americans and woke athletes was on full display Monday when the U.S. women's hockey team disgracefully declined President Trump's invitation to attend Tuesday's State of the Union address, while the men's team graciously accepted.

The women's team, fresh off their gold medal victory against Canada, cited "previously scheduled academic and professional commitments" as their excuse for snubbing the Commander-in-Chief's generous offer. Translation? They'd rather virtue signal to their liberal base than show basic respect for the office of the presidency.

This pathetic response stands in sharp contrast to the men's hockey team, who also won Olympic gold and will proudly represent American champions at Trump's address to the nation. The difference couldn't be more telling - real patriots versus woke posers.

Another Victory for Cancel Culture Athletes

We've seen this playbook before, haven't we Patriots? Liberal athletes who wrap themselves in the American flag when it's convenient for sponsorship deals, then turn their backs on America when it matters most. These women had the honor of representing our great nation on the world stage, yet can't be bothered to spend one evening honoring the country that made their dreams possible.

President Trump, showing the class these athletes lack, extended invitations to both teams after their impressive Olympic performances. It was a gesture of unity and celebration - something desperately needed in our divided times. But apparently, unity is only welcome when it serves the left's agenda.

"Previously scheduled academic and professional commitments" - because nothing says priorities like choosing homework over history in the making.

Meanwhile, the men's team understood what this invitation truly represents: an opportunity to stand with fellow Americans and celebrate the greatest nation on earth. They get it. They understand that sports can unite us beyond politics.

The Real Question Patriots Should Ask

How many more times will we watch privileged athletes bite the hand that feeds them? These women benefited from Title IX protections, government funding, and American opportunities that athletes in most countries can only dream of. Yet when asked to simply show up and represent their country one more time, they choose politics over patriotism.

Tuesday night's State of the Union will showcase the men's hockey team alongside President Trump - true champions standing with a true champion. As for the women's team, they've shown America exactly where their loyalties lie, and it's not with the red, white, and blue.

The men's team gets it - this is about honoring America and the presidency, not partisan politics!

Absolutely disgraceful behavior from the women's team. The men's team showed real character and respect for our country by accepting the invitation.

Exactly! It's about respecting the office and our traditions, not politics.

Does anyone know if this was a team decision or individual players choosing not to go? I'm curious about the internal dynamics here.

As someone who served this country for 20 years, it breaks my heart to see athletes turn their backs on presidential invitations. My daughter plays hockey and I'm teaching her that you can disagree politically but still show respect.

This used to be considered an honor regardless of which party was in office. What happened to basic respect and civility?

So disappointed but not surprised. The men showed true class and professionalism while representing our country.

This is exactly what's wrong with modern athletics - too much politics, not enough patriotism.
