STATE OF THE UNION PREVIEW: Trump's HISTORIC First Year Delivers on EVERY Promise to the American People

Just one year into President Donald J. Trump's second term, the state of our Union is undeniably STRONG — and the radical Democrats who predicted economic catastrophe are eating their words.

From crushing inflation to securing our borders, from slashing drug prices to bringing peace to global hotspots, the 47th President has delivered on virtually every campaign promise while the legacy media desperately searches for any narrative to undermine his unprecedented success.

The Economy Roars Back

Remember when so-called "experts" warned that Trump's policies would wreck the economy? The latest Consumer Price Index tells a very different story: inflation has dropped to just 2.4% — an eight-month low — while core inflation hit 2.5%, its lowest rate since March 2021.

But here's what should really have everyday Americans celebrating: blue-collar wage growth has seen its largest year-to-date increase in nearly 60 years. Construction workers are seeing an extra $2,100 in their pockets. Manufacturing workers? $1,700. Mining workers? $2,400.

"This combined formula of tax cuts, deregulation, unleashing American energy — all of these actions combine to make a stronger economy, more money in the pockets of the American people," White House Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly explained.

Gas prices have plummeted to their lowest average in more than four years, with the national average down 8% since Trump took office. Americans are now on track to spend the lowest amount of their disposable income on gas in two decades. Compare that to Biden's disastrous tenure, where gas remained above $3 a gallon for all four years and energy costs drained more than $2,500 from every American household.

The Largest Tax Cut in American History

President Trump and Republicans delivered what Democrats said couldn't be done: the Working Families Tax Cuts — the largest tax cut in American history. The legislation passed No Tax on Tips, No Tax on Overtime, and No Tax on Social Security, putting real money back where it belongs — in the wallets of hardworking Americans.

The results are already showing up in tax refunds, which are running nearly 15% higher than last year. And the bill ended taxpayer-funded benefits for at least 1.4 million illegal immigrants — because American tax dollars should serve American citizens.

"The President is cutting taxes, he's growing the economy, and he's bringing fairness to the American people," noted White House Deputy Chief of Staff James Blair. "Democrats have fought that every step of the way."

Housing Becomes Affordable Again

For years, young Americans watched the dream of homeownership slip further away. Under Trump's leadership, that's changing fast. Mortgage rates have fallen to their lowest level since September 2022, driving monthly housing payments to their most affordable levels in over two years.

Apartment rents have declined for six straight months, hitting their lowest level in four years. Mortgage refinance applications have surged 132%, allowing homeowners to lock in savings. And in a direct shot at Wall Street profiteers, President Trump took executive action to prohibit large investors from buying up single-family homes that should be available for everyday American families.

Healthcare: Patients Over Profits

President Trump's Great Healthcare Plan is doing what Obamacare never could: actually lowering costs. Through his Most Favored Nation drug pricing deals, Americans will now pay the lowest prescription drug prices in the world instead of the highest.

The President has announced 16 deals with major pharmaceutical manufacturers including Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Eli Lilly, lowering costs for inhalers, arthritis medication, obesity drugs, and infertility medicine. The newly launched TrumpRx.gov gives Americans direct access to dramatically lower prescription prices — with insulin for low-income patients dropping to as little as $0.03.

After prescription drug prices increased 9% under Biden, they've actually fallen 0.5% in Trump's first year.

The Border Crisis: SOLVED

The numbers are staggering. Over 3 million illegal aliens have left the United States, including 2.2 million who self-deported since Trump took office. For nine consecutive months, there have been ZERO releases of illegal immigrants into the country.

Illegal crossings along the U.S.-Mexico border have plummeted to the lowest annual level since 1970. More than 62,000 missing migrant children that the Biden administration lost have been found. President Trump has designated over ten Latin American cartels as terrorist groups and declared fentanyl a Weapon of Mass Destruction.

The Working Families Tax Cuts provided the biggest increase in funding to immigration enforcement in U.S. history, including funding for at least one million annual removals, completion of the border wall, and much-needed bonuses for Border Patrol and ICE agents on the front lines.

America Is Safer Than It's Been in a Century

A new report shows the murder rate across the nation's biggest cities plummeted last year to its lowest level since at least 1900 — the biggest one-year drop in recorded history. Rapes, robberies, aggravated assaults, shooting deaths, and on-duty law enforcement officer deaths (an 80-year low) all saw steep declines.

Drug deaths have fallen every single month since Trump returned to office. This is what happens when you have a President who actually enforces the law.

The President of Peace

On the world stage, President Trump has once again proven he's the ultimate dealmaker. He's negotiated ceasefires or brought peace to at least eight conflicts: Cambodia-Thailand, Kosovo-Serbia, DRC-Rwanda, Pakistan-India, Israel-Iran, Egypt-Ethiopia, Armenia-Azerbaijan, and Israel-Hamas.

Under Trump's decisive leadership, the U.S. obliterated Iran's nuclear program. He secured a historic agreement for NATO members to raise defense spending to 5% of GDP, finally forcing European countries to pay their fair share. And he's introduced a comprehensive plan to end the war between Ukraine and Russia.

Democrats Respond By... Shutting Down the Government

How have Democrats responded to all this winning? By shutting down the Department of Homeland Security because they're terrified of their far-left base demanding they defund ICE.

Because of Democrats' shutdown, workers responsible for disaster response, aviation security, and cybersecurity are operating with fewer resources. FEMA's recovery efforts are hindered. TSA employees are working without pay. And Democrats have the audacity to blame Republicans.

"We're gonna shut down Homeland Security," Senator Jacky Rosen admitted. At least they're being honest about their priorities.

The Best Is Yet to Come

President Trump has signed over 220 executive orders delivering on promises from closing the border to ending child gender mutilation to removing men from women's sports. The Army, Navy, Air Force, and Space Force have all reached their recruitment goals months ahead of schedule. Trillions in AI and tech investments are pouring into America.

Consumer sentiment has spiked to a six-month high. The budget deficit has shrunk 17% in the first four months of the fiscal year. And despite the Supreme Court's disappointing ruling on tariffs, the President has found alternative routes to protect American workers, with over $300 billion in tariff duties collected since January 2025.

The contrast couldn't be clearer. Four years of Biden brought America inflation, chaos, and decline. One year of Trump has brought prosperity, security, and respect on the world stage.

When President Trump addresses the nation, he won't need to spin or deflect. The results speak for themselves. The question every American should be asking: Why would anyone want to go back?

The border security improvements alone make this historic. But I'm curious - what specific metrics are they using to measure 'every promise'? Would love to see the detailed breakdown.

Good point. The employment numbers and GDP growth are solid proof though.

As someone who voted reluctantly in 2016, I have to admit I'm impressed with the results. The Supreme Court appointments especially will have lasting impact for generations.

Finally a president who actually follows through! My husband's manufacturing job came back thanks to the trade policies, and our 401k has never looked better.
