Failed former DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz just let the cat out of the bag during NewsNation's State of the Union coverage Tuesday, essentially admitting that ObamaCare is such a disaster that Democrats need MORE tax credits just to keep their signature healthcare law from completely collapsing.
The Florida Democrat - who you'll remember was forced to resign in disgrace after rigging the 2016 primary against Bernie Sanders - told host Leland Vittert that extending tax credits is a top Democratic priority to "make sure that the Affordable Care Act policies remain affordable."
Wait, what? If the so-called "Affordable Care Act" was actually AFFORDABLE, why would it need constant taxpayer bailouts to remain affordable? This is the same broken logic that got us into this mess in the first place.
The ObamaCare Shell Game Exposed
What Wasserman Schultz is really saying here is that without massive government subsidies - paid for by YOU, the taxpayer - ObamaCare premiums would be so sky-high that even Democrats can't pretend their healthcare law works anymore.
"We need to extend tax credits to make sure that the Affordable Care Act policies remain affordable," Wasserman Schultz admitted, apparently without any sense of irony.
This is the same woman who helped orchestrate the biggest political lie of the Obama era: "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor." Now she's back, hat in hand, begging for more of your hard-earned money to prop up a failing system that's made healthcare LESS affordable for millions of Americans.
Trump's Solution vs. Democrat Desperation
While Democrats scramble to throw more taxpayer money at their ObamaCare disaster, President Trump's second-term agenda focuses on actual healthcare reform that puts patients first, not government bureaucrats.
The contrast couldn't be clearer: Trump wants to unleash free-market solutions that drive DOWN costs naturally, while Democrats want to tax you more to hide the fact that their big-government approach has been an expensive failure from day one.
How many more billions of taxpayer dollars will Democrats demand to keep their healthcare house of cards from tumbling down?
