Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett's campaign for Texas Senate has devolved into open warfare against the press, with multiple incidents of journalists being physically removed from events and law enforcement called to intimidate reporters simply doing their jobs.
According to reports, Crockett's campaign staff escorted an Atlantic reporter out of a campaign rally, while separately calling Capitol Police on a CNN journalist who visited their campaign office. The heavy-handed tactics reveal a disturbing pattern of media hostility from a candidate who claims to champion transparency and democracy.
This is the same Jasmine Crockett who made headlines for her theatrical outbursts in Congress, including her infamous "bleach blonde bad-built butch body" rant that embarrassed Texas voters nationwide. Now she's running for Senate while apparently believing she's above media scrutiny.
Democrat Hypocrisy on Full Display
Where's the outrage from the left about "threats to democracy" and "press freedom"? When Republicans even question biased media coverage, Democrats scream about authoritarianism. But when one of their own literally kicks reporters out and calls police on journalists, it's crickets from the mainstream media.
The incidents highlight Crockett's unfitness for higher office and expose the authoritarian tendencies lurking beneath progressive rhetoric. Texas voters deserve better than a candidate who can't handle basic questions from reporters.
"This is exactly the kind of behavior we'd expect from someone who thinks screaming insults on the House floor counts as governing," said one Texas political observer.
Crockett's Senate bid represents everything wrong with today's radical Democrat Party – all performance, no substance, and zero accountability. Her attacks on the press should disqualify her from any position of public trust.
Will Texas voters reward this kind of authoritarian behavior, or will they demand leaders who respect both the Constitution and the free press that protects our democracy?
