DELUSIONAL: Dem Senator Markey PREDICTS GOP Will Abandon Trump's America First Tariffs

Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) is apparently living in an alternate reality where he thinks Republican lawmakers are going to stab President Trump in the back over his America First tariff policies. Speaking on MSNBC's "The Weeknight," the Massachusetts Democrat boldly predicted that GOP members of Congress would "run" away from Trump's new tariffs.

What planet is this guy on?

Markey's delusional prediction comes as Trump's tariff strategy is already proving successful in bringing manufacturing jobs back to America and forcing our trading partners to negotiate fairer deals. The President's tariffs aren't just campaign promises – they're delivering real results for American workers who've been sold out by decades of globalist trade policies.

Democrats Still Don't Get It

This is exactly the kind of out-of-touch thinking that cost Democrats the 2024 election in the first place. While Markey sits in his ivory tower predicting GOP defections, Republican lawmakers are seeing firsthand how Trump's tariffs are revitalizing American manufacturing and strengthening our negotiating position with China and other bad actors.

"Republican lawmakers would not vote to continue President Donald Trump's new tariffs," Markey claimed, apparently forgetting that these same Republicans just helped deliver Trump a decisive electoral victory.

The Massachusetts senator seems to forget that Trump's tariff policies were a central part of his winning 2024 campaign platform. GOP lawmakers aren't going to abandon the President who just led them to complete control of Washington – especially when his policies are actually working.

America First Means Results

Unlike the Democrats' failed globalist agenda that shipped American jobs overseas, Trump's tariffs are forcing companies to bring production back to the United States. That means more jobs for American workers, stronger supply chains, and less dependence on hostile nations like China.

Markey and his fellow Democrats can keep living in their fantasy world where they think Republicans will turn on Trump. Meanwhile, the rest of us will be celebrating as America First policies continue to make our nation stronger and more prosperous.

Do you think Senator Markey is completely out of touch with political reality, or is this just another case of wishful thinking from the radical left?

Delusional is right! The America First agenda isn't going anywhere because it puts American workers and families first.

China was eating our lunch for years until Trump stood up to them with tariffs. We can't go back to being pushovers on trade!

Markey and his buddies are probably getting pressure from their corporate donors who want to go back to exploiting cheap foreign labor.

Follow the money trail and it all makes sense. They don't care about American workers.

Markey is living in fantasy land if he thinks we're going back to the failed trade policies that shipped our jobs overseas for decades. Trump's tariffs brought manufacturing back to America and the GOP knows it.

Exactly! My town got two factories back during Trump's first term thanks to those tariffs.

The GOP base supports America First policies overwhelmingly. Any Republican who abandons tariffs will face a primary challenger, guaranteed.

I work in steel and saw firsthand how the tariffs protected American workers. My plant was about to close before Trump implemented them. Now we're running three shifts again!

Same story here in Pennsylvania. These politicians have no idea what working families actually need.

Can someone explain why Dems think cheap foreign goods are more important than American jobs? I genuinely don't understand their logic.

Why would Republicans abandon something that actually worked? These Dems are so out of touch it's embarrassing.
