The failures of California's woke criminal justice system are on full display once again as Governor Gavin Newsom's administration prepares to unleash a serial child molester back onto the streets. David Funston, 64, described by a judge as "the monster parents fear the most," is set to walk free thanks to what Newsom claims is an "independent" parole board.

But don't be fooled by Newsom's attempt to dodge responsibility. This is the same governor who has systematically dismantled California's law enforcement capabilities while coddling criminals at every turn. Now he wants to hide behind bureaucratic excuses when parents are terrified for their children's safety?

Sacramento County Sheriff Jim Cooper isn't buying Newsom's deflection tactics for one second. The veteran law enforcement official has launched a blistering attack on the governor's failed policies that prioritize criminals over victims.

The Pattern of Failure

This isn't an isolated incident - it's part of Newsom's broader war on public safety. From defunding police to emptying prisons, California's radical left leadership has turned the Golden State into a playground for predators and violent criminals.

While hardworking families struggle to keep their communities safe, Newsom and his allies continue pushing their soft-on-crime agenda that puts ideology above protecting innocent children. The "independent" board excuse is just the latest attempt to avoid accountability for policies that endanger every parent in California.

"This administration has consistently chosen criminals over victims, and now they want to wash their hands of responsibility when the consequences become too obvious to ignore," a former district attorney reportedly stated.

How many more children have to be put at risk before California voters wake up and demand leaders who actually prioritize public safety over progressive virtue signaling?

Patriots across America are watching as California continues its descent into lawlessness. The question is: will voters finally hold Newsom accountable for unleashing predators on their communities, or will they continue enabling this dangerous charade?

I worked in law enforcement for 28 years and saw firsthand how these 'reform' policies just put dangerous predators back on the street. This former DA is absolutely right to speak out - someone needs to hold Newsom accountable for these reckless appointments.

This is exactly why I voted NO on those prison reform propositions. These liberal judges and parole boards care more about criminals than protecting our children. When will California parents wake up and demand accountability?

100% agree. The safety of innocent kids should always come first, but somehow that's become a controversial opinion in this state.
