Here we go again, Patriots. Just when you thought the era of woke athletes disrespecting the White House was behind us, USA Women's Hockey team captain Hilary Knight is pulling a page straight out of the leftist playbook by trashing President Trump and threatening to boycott the traditional White House celebration.
Knight, apparently triggered by what she called a 'distasteful' joke President Trump made during a congratulatory call with the men's hockey team, told reporters she's 'unsure' if her team will even show up to honor the office of the presidency. Talk about misplaced priorities.
This is exactly the kind of Trump Derangement Syndrome we've come to expect from entitled athletes who can't separate their political feelings from representing the United States of America. While President Trump was graciously congratulating American athletes for their achievements, Knight decided to turn it into another opportunity to virtue signal to her woke base.
Another Liberal Temper Tantrum
What's particularly galling is that this comes at a time when President Trump is working tirelessly to restore American strength and pride on the world stage. Instead of celebrating the honor of being invited to the People's House, Knight is apparently more concerned with scoring cheap political points than showing respect for the office.
The American people are tired of spoiled athletes using their platforms to disrespect our democratically elected president while representing our flag.
This isn't about Trump's joke – it's about the left's continued inability to accept that Donald Trump is legitimately serving his second term as the 47th President of the United States. They simply cannot help themselves from injecting their political hatred into what should be moments of national unity and celebration.
Knight and her teammates need to remember they're representing America, not their personal political opinions. If they can't put aside their partisan grudges long enough to show basic respect for the presidency, maybe they shouldn't be wearing USA on their jerseys in the first place.
Will these woke athletes ever learn to separate their politics from representing our great nation? Don't hold your breath, folks.
