This is what passes for leadership in the Democrat Party, folks. Washington state Democratic House majority leader Joe Fitzgibbon had to publicly apologize after showing up to a budget committee hearing completely hammered, slurring his words while discussing how to spend YOUR tax dollars.
The embarrassing spectacle unfolded during what should have been a serious discussion about state finances. Instead, taxpayers got to witness their so-called "representative" stumbling through his words after admitting he had been drinking alcohol before the hearing.
Think about that for a moment - this is a man entrusted with making decisions about billions in taxpayer money, and he can't even stay sober long enough to do his basic job. Would any of us keep our jobs if we showed up drunk to an important meeting? Of course not.
But this is par for the course with today's Democratic Party. While hardworking Americans struggle to make ends meet under crushing inflation and government overreach, their elected officials are literally drunk on the job. It's a perfect metaphor for how Democrats have been governing - completely impaired and making terrible decisions that hurt regular people.
Zero Accountability Culture
Fitzgibbon's pathetic apology rings hollow when you consider this represents everything wrong with the liberal political establishment. These people think the rules don't apply to them. They live by different standards while lecturing the rest of us about responsibility and civic duty.
This incident perfectly captures why voters across America rejected the failed Democrat agenda in 2024. People are sick and tired of being governed by a political class that treats public service like a joke while real families suffer the consequences of their reckless policies.
While President Trump and his team are working around the clock to restore American greatness and government accountability, Democrat politicians like Fitzgibbon are literally phoning it in - or in this case, drinking it in.
Is this really the kind of "leadership" Washington state voters signed up for? Patriots deserve representatives who show up sober and ready to fight for their interests, not politicians who can't even maintain basic professional standards.
