Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro just handed Republicans a perfect example of why Democrats can't be trusted with national security – the man literally can't make up his mind about President Trump's military strike against Iran.
In a stunning display of political cowardice, Shapiro simultaneously blasted Trump's decisive action while admitting that Iran's terrorist regime needs to go. Talk about trying to have it both ways!
"In going to war with Iran, the President has not adequately explained why this war is necessary," Shapiro whined, clearly more concerned about scoring political points than supporting American strength abroad. But then – get this – he turns around and admits that Iran needs "new leadership."
So which is it, Governor? Do you want regime change in Iran or not?
Democrats' Foreign Policy Confusion on Full Display
This flip-flopping nonsense is exactly what we've come to expect from Democrats who spent four years watching Biden's catastrophic foreign policy failures. Now that we have a real Commander-in-Chief back in the White House, they don't know whether to attack Trump or admit he's doing what needs to be done.
While Shapiro complains about lacking a "clear plan," President Trump has already demonstrated more strategic thinking in three weeks than Biden showed in four years. Remember the Afghanistan disaster? Remember Putin marching into Ukraine? Remember China's spy balloons floating over American airspace?
"This is what real leadership looks like – decisive action to protect American interests and eliminate threats to our national security."
The American people elected Trump precisely because he promised to restore peace through strength. Iran's terrorist regime has been threatening America and our allies for decades, and finally we have a president willing to do something about it.
Patriots across the country see right through Shapiro's political games. You can't simultaneously call for regime change while criticizing the very military action needed to achieve it. That's not leadership – that's pure political opportunism.
Will Democrats finally admit that Trump's America First foreign policy is exactly what this country needs, or will they continue playing politics while our military heroes do the hard work of keeping America safe?
