Missouri Senator Eric Schmitt delivered a brutal takedown of Connecticut's Richard Blumenthal after the Democrat senator attempted one of his signature grandstanding performances during a Department of Homeland Security hearing featuring Secretary Kristi Noem.
Blumenthal, apparently still bitter about Trump's decisive victory in November, tried to derail the hearing with what witnesses described as a "pathetic display" of partisan theater. But Schmitt wasn't having any of it.

"Senator Blumenthal, with all due respect, the American people are tired of these games," Schmitt fired back. "We have a border crisis that your party created, cartels flooding our communities with fentanyl, and you want to play political theater? Really?"
"The voters spoke loud and clear in November. They want solutions, not stunts. Maybe it's time Democrats started listening to the people instead of their radical base."
The exchange quickly went viral on social media, with conservatives praising Schmitt for refusing to let Democrats weaponize what should have been a serious discussion about securing America's borders and protecting our homeland.
