This is the same Beto O'Rourke who famously declared "Hell yes, we're going to take your AR-15" before crashing and burning in his presidential campaign. The same radical leftist who spent over $80 million trying to unseat Ted Cruz in 2018 and still lost by nearly 3 points. Now he thinks he's found the magic candidate to flip the Lone Star State?
Another Day, Another Democrat Delusion
O'Rourke's endorsement of Talarico reveals everything you need to know about the Democratic Party's disconnect from reality. While President Trump continues implementing his America First agenda with overwhelming support from Texas voters, Democrats are still living in their coastal elite bubble, convinced they can somehow turn America's most reliably conservative large state into California.
"Texas will save the country when James Talarico wins," O'Rourke proclaimed, apparently forgetting that Texas already saved the country by delivering its electoral votes to Trump in both 2020 and 2024.
What's particularly rich about this whole charade is the timing. As Trump's administration successfully implements mass deportations, secures the border, and brings manufacturing jobs back to America, Democrats are doubling down on the same failed policies that got them crushed in 2024.
Talarico, for his part, represents everything wrong with today's Democratic Party – another progressive politician pushing woke ideology while real Texans struggle with the aftermath of four years of Biden's disasters. The idea that this relatively unknown state representative could somehow succeed where the Democrats' golden boy O'Rourke failed multiple times is beyond delusional.
Here's a reality check for Beta and his progressive friends: Texas didn't need saving from Democrats. Texas needed saving FROM Democrats – and that's exactly what happened when Trump won decisively and Republicans maintained control.
