In what can only be described as one of the most callous displays in recent congressional history, Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) told grieving Angel Families during a House Judiciary Committee hearing Wednesday that while he's "sorry" for their losses, Americans are statistically more violent than illegal aliens.
The Tennessee Democrat's shocking statement came as families whose loved ones were murdered by illegal immigrants sat in the audience, forced to listen to this partisan hack dismiss their pain for political points. These are families who have suffered unimaginable loss – mothers, fathers, children brutally killed by criminals who never should have been in our country in the first place.
But Cohen apparently believes their grief is less important than protecting the Democrats' open border agenda. His message was crystal clear: your murdered family members don't matter because statistics say Americans kill more Americans.
"Cohen is a complete piece of shit. How can anyone support democrats," posted @SWFLConserv on social media, expressing the outrage felt by millions of Americans.
The backlash was swift and furious across social platforms. @JimPolk called Cohen's comments "disgusting," while @1Dittlinger blasted the congressman as "a piece of crap representing Tennessee" and declared "Democrats are the enemy."
This is the same party that spent four years demonizing President Trump's immigration policies, calling them "inhumane" and "racist." Now we see their true colors – they'd rather gaslight grieving families than admit their open border policies have deadly consequences.
Every single one of those Angel Families represents a preventable tragedy. Every murder, every rape, every assault by an illegal alien is a direct result of Democrats' refusal to secure our borders and enforce immigration law.
President Trump's mass deportation program can't come fast enough. While Democrats like Cohen play statistical games with human lives, this administration is actually doing something to prevent more Angel Families from being created.
How many more American families have to suffer before Democrats stop prioritizing illegal aliens over American citizens?
