The Democrat Party is already tearing itself apart over 2028, and we're barely one year into President Trump's second term. A new poll from St. Anselm College reveals the absolute chaos brewing within Democrat ranks as they scramble to find someone—anyone—who can put their fractured coalition back together.

The survey of New Hampshire Democrats shows former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg leading with 29% support, nearly doubling California Governor Gavin Newsom's pathetic 15%. Even more telling? Failed Vice President Kamala Harris is polling in the single digits—a humiliating fall from grace for the woman who was supposed to be the Democrats' future just two years ago.

A Party Without Direction

This early polling data exposes everything wrong with today's Democrat Party. They've got no message, no vision, and certainly no leader who can unite their warring factions. Buttigieg's lead tells you everything you need to know about how desperate they've become—they're turning to a failed cabinet secretary whose biggest accomplishment was presiding over supply chain disasters and train derailments.

Meanwhile, Newsom's weak showing proves that even Democrats are getting tired of the radical California agenda that's destroyed the Golden State. When your own party won't embrace the governor who's turned San Francisco into a dystopian nightmare, you know you've got problems.

"The Democrat Party is facing an identity crisis of their own making. After years of pushing radical policies that American voters soundly rejected, they're left scrambling for anyone who can make them relevant again," observed one political analyst.

But here's the real question Democrats should be asking themselves: Can any nominee fix a party that's completely lost touch with everyday Americans? Their obsession with woke ideology, open borders, and crushing regulations drove voters straight into President Trump's arms in 2024.

Too Little, Too Late?

While Democrats engage in their circular firing squad, President Trump is busy delivering on his America First agenda—securing the border, unleashing American energy, and restoring common sense to government. The contrast couldn't be clearer.

The fact that Democrats are already polling for 2028 shows they've learned nothing from their devastating losses. Instead of reflecting on why Americans rejected their message, they're just looking for a new messenger to sell the same failed policies.

Will the Democrat Party find a way to reconnect with American voters, or are they destined to remain the party of coastal elites and radical activists? Based on this early chaos, smart money says they're heading for another four years in the wilderness.

Not surprised at all - the Democrat party has been moving so far left that moderate Dems don't even recognize their own party anymore. My neighbor who voted Democrat for 30 years switched sides last election because of exactly this issue.

Same thing happened with my brother-in-law. He said the party left him behind, not the other way around.

The infighting was inevitable after such a decisive loss. When you build your entire platform on opposing one person instead of actual policy solutions, this is what happens when that strategy fails.
