President Donald Trump is demanding Congress get back to work and cancel the rest of their two-week spring break to pass critical funding for the Department of Homeland Security, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced Monday.

While hardworking Americans are dealing with the ongoing border crisis and illegal immigration chaos left behind by the Biden regime, our elected representatives are lounging on vacation instead of doing their jobs. Trump isn't having it.

"The president is encouraging lawmakers to come back to Washington" to hammer out a funding deal that would reopen DHS operations, Leavitt told reporters during Monday's press briefing.

This isn't just about keeping the lights on at another bloated federal agency - this is about funding Trump's signature promise to the American people: the largest deportation operation in U.S. history. With DHS funding in limbo, the administration's efforts to remove criminal illegal aliens and secure our borders could be severely hampered.

Patriots Demand Action While Politicians Vacation

The timing couldn't be more critical. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem has been working around the clock to implement Trump's America First agenda, but she needs Congress to stop playing games and provide the resources necessary to get the job done.

"The American people didn't elect us to take vacations while our country faces an invasion at the southern border,"

This is exactly the kind of no-nonsense leadership we voted for in 2024. While the previous administration spent four years ignoring the border crisis and prioritizing woke policies over national security, Trump is demanding immediate action to protect American families.

The question now is whether Congress will heed the president's call or continue to prioritize their time off over the safety and security of the American people. Every day of delay means more criminals walking free in our communities instead of being deported.

Will your representatives answer Trump's call to action, or will they prove once again that the swamp puts politics over patriots?

How is DHS supposed to function without proper funding? This should have been resolved months ago instead of playing political games.

My ranch is 50 miles from the border and I see the problems firsthand every single day. Congress better wake up and fund border security before it's too late.

Finally! Trump is showing the leadership we need. Congress has had months to get this done and they've been dragging their feet while our border remains wide open.

Exactly right Mike. They can vacation after they do their jobs!

I work for CBP and the situation is absolutely critical right now. We're overwhelmed and understaffed. Congress needs to act immediately - no excuses.

The fact that our agents are dealing with this crisis while Congress plans vacation is disgraceful.

About time someone demands action! Our safety comes before their vacation plans.

Why do they need a spring break anyway? Most Americans don't get weeks off from work when there's a crisis to handle.
