The Republican establishment is cutting and running from Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) as the four-term incumbent finds himself trailing Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in what's shaping up to be a devastating upset in the Lone Star State's GOP Senate runoff.

One Nation PAC, the political action committee tied to Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD), has conspicuously stayed on the sidelines despite previously pouring nearly $11 million into Cornyn's campaign. The silence speaks volumes about the establishment's confidence—or lack thereof—in their hand-picked swamp creature.

Recent polling data reveals the extent of Cornyn's collapse among Texas Republicans. "GQR / Senate Majority PAC 03/19 – 03/23 600 LV Texas US Senate Primary Ballot Test 🔴 Ken Paxton -- 47% 🔴 John Cornyn -- 42%," reported @DDHQdata on social media, showing Paxton with a commanding 5-point lead.

Deep State Democrats Even See the Writing on the Wall

What makes this poll even more telling? As @PollTracker2024 noted, "This poll was sponsored by House Majority PAC, a Democratic leaning Super PAC"—meaning even the Democrats recognize that Paxton is steamrolling the establishment favorite.

This isn't just about one Senate seat. This is about the soul of the Republican Party and whether MAGA patriots or swamp creatures will represent Texas in Washington. Paxton has been a stalwart defender of election integrity and constitutional principles, while Cornyn has too often played footsie with the Washington establishment.

The fact that Thune's PAC is abandoning ship tells you everything you need to know about how this race is really going. When your own party leadership won't write checks for you, it's time to start updating that résumé.

Texas Republicans are sending a clear message: they want America First fighters, not establishment yes-men who've been in Washington too long. The question now isn't whether Paxton can win—it's by how much he'll crush the swamp's golden boy.

FINALLY! The establishment RINOs are getting what they deserve. Paxton has been fighting the deep state while Cornyn has been playing politics in the swamp.

Exactly! We need fighters, not establishment puppets who cave to Democrats every time.

I'm curious about the polling numbers - does anyone know how much Paxton is leading by? Last I saw it was pretty close but this sounds like momentum is really shifting.

My whole neighborhood has Paxton signs up now. Even my moderate friends are fed up with Cornyn after he voted for that gun control bill. Sometimes you have to learn the hard way that conservatives remember come election time!

That gun vote was the last straw for me too. Paxton would never betray the 2nd Amendment like that.
