The mask slipped off again Monday when Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) appeared on CNN and practically celebrated President Trump's decision to pay TSA agents by reallocating funds from ICE operations.
Speaking on "CNN News Central," Goldman couldn't contain his enthusiasm, calling it "great" that Trump's order "reduces ICE's budget" to cover Transportation Security Administration costs. The New York Democrat's reaction exposes exactly where his party's priorities lie - and it's NOT with securing our borders.
"If the President has now understood that he needs to pay TSA out of ICE's budget, that's great because it reduces ICE's budget," Goldman said with barely concealed satisfaction.
Think about that for a moment, Patriots. A sitting member of Congress is openly celebrating the reduction of resources for the agency responsible for removing illegal immigrants from our country.
This isn't just poor optics - it's a window into the Democrat Party's soul. While President Trump works to address government funding challenges and keep essential services running, Democrats like Goldman are playing political games and cheering for anything that might hamstring immigration enforcement.
Goldman's comments reveal the fundamental difference between the America First agenda and the open-borders extremism that has infected the Democratic Party. Trump is making tough decisions to ensure critical functions continue operating while Democrats root against border security at every turn.
The irony is rich: Trump finds a way to keep TSA agents paid while maintaining his commitment to mass deportations, and Democrats think they've scored some kind of victory. They're so blinded by their hatred of effective immigration enforcement that they'll celebrate any perceived setback to ICE operations.
What Goldman and his fellow travelers don't understand is that the American people voted overwhelmingly for Trump's immigration agenda. We want our borders secured, our laws enforced, and criminal aliens removed. No amount of Democrat scheming or wishful thinking will change that mandate.
President Trump promised to find efficiencies across government while delivering on his core promises. If that means creative budgeting to keep essential services running while ICE continues its critical mission, so be it.
The question Patriots should be asking: If Democrats are this excited about a perceived reduction in ICE funding, what does that tell you about their commitment to protecting American communities from criminal aliens?
