Curtis Sliwa has officially jumped the shark, and Republicans across New York are calling him out for it. The Guardian Angels founder, who ran against socialist Zohran Mamdani for NYC mayor, is now cozying up to the very radical he once claimed to oppose—all for a few laughs at the Inner Circle show.
The cringe-worthy video shows Sliwa hamming it up with Mamdani in what can only be described as political theater at its worst. This is the same Curtis Sliwa who supposedly "hammered away" at Mamdani during mayoral debates, warning New Yorkers about the dangers of socialist policies destroying the Big Apple.
But apparently, all that principled opposition melts away when there's a chance for some cheap publicity.
Republicans: 'Absolutely Reprehensible'
GOP critics aren't mincing words about Sliwa's stunning betrayal of conservative principles. "You can tell when people are true to the party, and I thought it was reprehensible," one Republican source told The Blaze, perfectly capturing what every patriotic New Yorker is thinking.
This isn't just about a harmless comedy sketch, folks. This is about a man who claimed to represent conservative values now lending credibility and legitimacy to a socialist mayor who's actively working to destroy what's left of New York City. Mamdani's radical agenda includes defunding police, expanding welfare programs, and implementing Green New Deal policies that will crush working families.
"When you lie down with socialist dogs, you wake up with progressive fleas—and Sliwa just proved he's willing to roll over for anyone with a camera."
The timing couldn't be worse. While President Trump's second-term agenda is focused on restoring law and order to America's cities, Sliwa is busy playing patty-cake with the very forces of destruction Trump is fighting against.
Where Are the Real Conservative Leaders?
This pathetic display raises serious questions about who New York conservatives can actually trust. If Sliwa can flip this easily from opponent to comedy partner, what does that say about his core beliefs? Were they ever real to begin with?
Patriots deserve leaders who won't abandon their principles the moment the cameras start rolling. Curtis Sliwa just proved he's not one of them. The question now is: will New York Republicans remember this betrayal the next time Sliwa comes asking for their support?
