The left's election hysteria has reached peak insanity. Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY) appeared on Bloomberg's "Balance of Power" Tuesday and had the audacity to claim President Trump is "trying to steal an election by making it so that people can't vote."
What heinous crime is Trump supposedly committing? Supporting basic voter ID requirements – you know, the same ID you need to buy alcohol, board a plane, or enter a federal building.
Patriots on social media are calling out this ridiculous double standard. One user perfectly summed up the hypocrisy: "BY SHOWING AN ID! IF THAT IS WRONG THEN GET RID OF ID'S IF THEY ARE THAT BAD! ALSO IF ILLEGALS AREN'T VOTING WHY DID BIDEN FLY THEM IN TO SPECIFIC STATE AREAS & PLANT THEM IN THESE DISTRICTS. BS!"
Another social media user highlighted how easy it actually is for legal Americans to get proper identification, posting: "MY WIFE GOT A MARRIAGE LICENSE, DID A PROPER NAME CHANGE, WITH SSA NO PROBLEMS, & HER REAL ID NO. HAS HER NEW NAME! EVERYBODY SAYS WHERE'S THE MAGA PEOPLE! WAITING FOR MORE FRAUD BY DEMONS VOTING!"
This is the same party that spent four years screaming "Russia! Russia! Russia!" and now wants to make it easier for anyone – including illegal immigrants – to cast ballots without verification. The projection is absolutely stunning.
Meanwhile, Democrats are so desperate they're trying end-runs around Speaker Johnson and House Republicans on unrelated issues, with one activist posting about bypassing "99% of Republicans in the House" through special procedures.
The Real Election Theft
Let's be crystal clear about who's actually trying to manipulate elections here. The Biden regime flew illegal immigrants to swing states for four years, fought voter ID laws tooth and nail, and opposed every common-sense election integrity measure proposed.
Now Trump is in office implementing the will of the American people who voted for secure elections, and suddenly Democrats are crying "election theft." The gaslighting is off the charts.
Every other developed nation requires voter ID. But when America wants the same basic protections, suddenly we're "stealing elections"? Give us a break, Congressman Meeks.
