Another day, another corrupt liberal official caught with her hand in the cookie jar. Sheryl Davis, the 57-year-old former executive director of San Francisco's Human Rights Commission, has been slapped with 17 felony charges after prosecutors say she orchestrated a scheme to steal millions from charities meant to help homeless children and fund the city's George Floyd "racial justice" programs.

The charges include conflict of interest in government contracts, perjury, and misappropriating public funds. But here's the kicker – this woman was supposedly tasked with defending "human rights" while allegedly robbing the most vulnerable people in society blind.

According to prosecutors, Davis misappropriated funds from a charity designed to benefit homeless children that received $3.5 million in city funding. She also allegedly used her position overseeing San Francisco's Dream Keeper Initiative – a program launched after George Floyd's death – to direct money into her own pockets instead of helping the Black community it was meant to serve.

Social Media Erupts Over Liberal Hypocrisy

The news has sparked outrage across social media, with users calling out the blatant corruption. One Twitter user noted that "California prosecutors arrested and charged former San Francisco government official Sheryl Davis and a [woke 'progressive'] nonprofit director, James Spingola, for allegedly developing a scheme to divert city funds for personal benefit."

Another social media post revealed the full scope of the scandal: "SF Human Rights Boss Sheryl Davis Charged With 13 Felonies for Funneling Millions to Celebs—While the Money Was Meant to Help Black Americans."

"The former executive director of the San Francisco Human Rights Commission, Sheryl Davis, has been arrested and charged with 17 felony counts after an 18‑month public corruption probe," reported one Twitter account tracking the story.

This case perfectly exemplifies everything wrong with the progressive establishment. These so-called "social justice warriors" talk a big game about helping minorities and the homeless, but when millions of taxpayer dollars flow their way, somehow those funds end up padding their own bank accounts instead of reaching the people who desperately need help.

A whistleblower tipped off authorities to Davis's alleged crimes – proving that even in corrupt San Francisco, some people still have a conscience. How many other "human rights" champions are getting rich off programs meant to help America's most vulnerable citizens?

This is exactly what I've been saying about these so-called 'human rights' organizations! They use the most vulnerable people as props to line their own pockets while virtue signaling about helping the community. How many homeless kids could have been actually helped with those millions?

Makes you wonder how many other 'charity' leaders in SF are doing the same thing. The whole system needs to be audited.

I volunteered at a homeless shelter in Oakland last year and we were constantly struggling for basic supplies while reading about all these well-funded nonprofits. Now I know where the money was really going - into corrupt officials' bank accounts instead of helping people who desperately need it.
