Another day, another corrupt Democrat official caught with her hand in the cookie jar – but this time, she was stealing from the most vulnerable Americans while virtue signaling about "human rights."
Sheryl Davis, 57, the former executive director of San Francisco's Human Rights Commission, has been slapped with 17 felony charges including conflict of interest, perjury, and misappropriating public funds. Prosecutors say this so-called champion of the downtrodden used her position to steal millions meant for homeless children and programs supporting Black Americans.
The charges stem from an 18-month corruption probe that uncovered Davis's alleged scheme to divert city funds through the Dream Keeper Initiative – a program launched in the wake of George Floyd's death that was supposed to redirect police funding toward supporting the Black community. Instead, Davis allegedly lined her own pockets with money meant for the city's most vulnerable residents.
Millions Meant for Kids Allegedly Stolen
According to prosecutors, Davis misappropriated funds from a charity designed to help homeless children that had received $3.5 million in city funding. The scheme was so brazen that it took a whistleblower to finally expose what was happening behind the scenes of San Francisco's progressive virtue-signaling machine.
Social media users are expressing outrage over the allegations. One Twitter user noted: "SF Human Rights Boss Sheryl Davis Charged With 13 Felonies for Funneling Millions to Celebs—While the Money Was Meant to Help Black Americans."
"California prosecutors arrested and charged former San Francisco government official Sheryl Davis and a [woke 'progressive'] nonprofit director, James Spingola, for allegedly developing a scheme to divert city funds for personal benefit," another social media post highlighted.
This is exactly what happens when Democrats put woke ideology over actual accountability. While San Francisco's streets remain littered with homeless encampments and the city's most vulnerable children go without basic services, the very people trusted to help them were allegedly stealing their lifeline for personal enrichment.
How many more corrupt officials are hiding behind the facade of "human rights" and "social justice" while robbing the people they claim to serve? This scandal proves that the real threat to vulnerable communities isn't systemic racism – it's systemic corruption in Democrat-run cities.
